People often ask what they will actually do all day on a short stay. A programme such as the Forest Reset is designed to feel unhurried, with enough structure to look after you and enough space to rest. The timings below are an example; your own plan is set after your first consultation and changes with how you feel.
Morning: Waking Gently
The day starts early but softly. Many guests begin with warm water and a short walk in the forest air, followed by a guided movement or yoga session suited to the group. Nothing is competitive, and every movement can be adjusted to your body.
Breakfast follows: freshly prepared, simple and matched to your plan. Guests who like to know the reasons behind a meal can ask the team; there is always one.
Late Morning: Your Therapy
This is the part of the day set aside for treatments chosen for you, such as an Ayurvedic massage, a steam or a calming therapy. Your therapist will ask about your comfort at the start and during the session. Between sessions there is time to rest, read or sit by the window.
Afternoon: Space
After lunch comes unstructured time. Some guests nap. Some walk. Some simply sit and watch the light change on the hills. This is deliberate, because rest is part of the programme, not a gap in it. For the thinking behind it, read The Case for Doing Nothing.
A brief check-in with your physician or wellness team may fall in the afternoon, to see how you are sleeping and feeling and to adjust the plan if needed.
Evening: Slowing Down
Early evening often holds a gentle practice such as breathwork or meditation, followed by a light dinner. The evening is kept quiet and screen-light so the body can prepare for sleep. Most guests are asleep earlier than they have been in years.
Before You Come
Pack layers, comfortable shoes and loose clothing, and complete the short wellness questionnaire we send after you book, so the team can prepare. Our guide, Preparing For Your First Wellness Retreat, covers the rest. You can see the full programme on the Forest Reset page.
