Classic dry-heat therapy, part of EKAM's broader thermal recovery journey. Higher, drier heat than our infrared sauna, the Traditional Sauna is often used as one stage within a longer hydrotherapy sequence, alongside steam and contrast showers.
Guests often move between the Traditional Sauna, Steam Room and Contrast Vitality Shower in a single, guided circuit.

Water is available before you begin, ensuring you're well hydrated.
Dry heat builds steadily; most guests find a comfortable rhythm within a few minutes.
You may rest here, or move on to Steam Room or Contrast Vitality Shower as part of your circuit.
A gradual cool-down and rehydration complete the session.

Duration and heat level are adjusted to your comfort, following a brief check-in with your therapist.
Reserve your stay and our team will build Traditional Sauna into your personalised programme.
A traditional sauna heats the surrounding air to a higher temperature, while infrared sauna warms the body more directly at a lower ambient temperature. Both are available depending on your preference.
Sessions are typically 20–25 minutes; we recommend starting shorter if it's your first visit.
Yes, staying well hydrated before and after is recommended for any heat-based therapy.
Guests with certain cardiovascular conditions, those who are pregnant, or anyone with heat sensitivity should consult their physician before booking.
Many guests do combine the two, alternating between dry and herbal steam heat — our team can guide appropriate sequencing and rest periods.
The heat exposure is associated with circulation support, which is part of why it's included in several relaxation and recovery-focused programmes.
Light clothing or a robe is provided; our team will guide you on what's appropriate.
Frequency should be discussed with your physician as part of your overall programme, but most guests use it a few times a week rather than daily.
